Tagiko and the "Snow leopard projiect" - Tagiko e il progetto "Leopardo delle nevi"

Tagiko kennel now give a portion of the share transfer of each puppy in the campaign that fights for the Snow Leopard conservation! ... and this is just the beginning of a greater project that one day will involve the descendants of my dogs.

My aim is to be useful to Nature and conserve wildlife!

 

 

L'allevamento Tagiko devolverà una parte della quota di cessione di ogni cucciolo alla campagna che si batte per la conservazione del Leopardo delle nevi! ...e questo è solo l'inizio di un grande progetto che un giorno vedrà coinvolti i discendenti dei miei cani.

Il mio auspicio è servire alla Natura per la conservazione della fauna!

 

 

Letter from Snow Leopard Trust:

We are in the beginning stages of looking at the use of guard dogs as a way to protect livestock from Snow leopard (Panthera uncia) predation and thus ease some of the human – wildlife conflict that can result in retaliatory killings of the cats.

The kind of care the dogs would receive and how to structure the program so that it is sustainable are big concerns of ours at this time, but we’ll keep exploring this possibility.

Stiamo incominciando un esperimento che prevede l'utilizzo di cani da guardia per la protezione del bestiame dalla predazione del Leopardo delle nevi, questa è tesa ad estinguere uno dei tanti conflitti tra l'uomo e l'ambiente che spesso risultano nell'uccisione dei felini.

Il tipo di cure ed addestramento di cui necessiterebbero i cani e come strutturare un programma di tipo sostenibile sono in questo momento motivo di grande preoccupazione per noi, ma continuiamo a valutare questa possibilità.

Saremmo molto contenti di collaborare con te, e appreziamo molto le tue idee a riguardo.
